Is there a way to provide some sort of security lock for the Portable App Platform when I'm away from the computer. I have a feeling that the net administrators randomly log into workstations where I'm employed. I do use TrueCrypt for ALL of my files, but am the paranoid type who can't get enough protection.
If this is not possible, I will just dismount the TC volumn as I have been doing.
It's been discussed to death and the conclusion is still the same. Any software solution would be utterly pointless, as if somebody wanted to bypass it, they could do so quite trivially.
The fact that you're using Truecrypt is about as good as it gets as far as software security goes. The next step would be a USB Flash Drive with hardware based encryption/security.
The End.
Thanks for the info and thanks to TrueCrypt.
If you have to hide your stuff from the system admins at work because they randomly log into workstations, it sure sounds like you are doing something that you KNOW you shouldn't be doing while at work.
Might want to study up on unemployment benefits in your area....
