(1) Did I miss an announcement for XAMPP 1.7.4 and the Launcher 1.4?
Seeing as it has PHP version 5.3.5, it seems important. Granted, I didn't learn about the PHP float conv bug until today, so I may have also missed this release.
Thanks for getting it out there, nonetheless.
(2) I saw some limited discussion about not running the setup script, thus keeping relative paths (presumably in the various INI files). Does that still apply? I've got a few of my domains copied on a HD w/xampp (as virtual hosts) for dev purposes. Sure would be nice to easily transport them from on location to another, like copy dir tree to a flash for presentation on a different computer.

We announce the launcher only on here (since that's our bit). We don't make announcements for XAMPP itself.

A few times when we've done a launcher version, we've purposely coincided it with a XAMPP release so users can do both. At that point we've announced the new XAMPP release in the same announcement.
