Lag?

I'm not sure if it's just me or if anybody else is experiencing the same...

The latest version of Firefox Portable has shown some lag every few minutes, even after I wiped and reinstalled a fresh copy of that. The older version did not give me those similiar issues...

Anyone else finding the same?

Define lag

That could mean any number of things. If you see lag when opening new windows or tabs... that's usually an extension (anything that does crash recovery or session saving is an absolute no no when running portably). Enabling history can also cause lag between pages.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Hmmm

That's a possibility. I do have some extensions installed. I'll try later and do it with no extensions at all amd see what happens. And yeah, I do have history enabled and I have only 3 extensions installed... FEBE, DownThemAll!, and Gmail Manager. I'll try reducing history and i dont have cache enabled at all, and I don't see anything regarding crash recovery, other than that, everything's pretty much default.

I'll let you know about any lag, I'm going to try a fresh copy of FireFox Portable with absolutely nothing.

Lag Disappears

I can't put my thumb on it, but apparently I've narrowed it down to either Gmail Manager or FEBE as the source of my irritation, with me leaning more towards Gmail Manager being the source of my annoyance. I'll keep playing around and see if I can narrow it down.

Sorry, it's me again

Apparently, FEBE is not friendly with Firefox Portable. After installing that, I detected lag starting up again. Setting absolute paths in it seemed to alleviate the problem somewhat but it won't do any good when I move to another machine since I'd ahve to set up the backup dir again. No dice.

Disable / Enable

How about disabling it and just enabling it when you want to backup your extensions.

Yup

Think that's what I'm going to do.

Different cause

My firefox does the same thing, however, I do not have FEBE installed. I had other extensions installed, but for some reason, they were removed from the extensions window while retaining all other funcionality. Same with my themes.
