Using Firefox Portable from Work (LAN)

Hi! Hope somebody can help me. I just downloaded and installed Firefox Portable into my notebook-- had to resort to the portable app because I need Admin rights to install a software that modifies the registry-- and I dont have admin password. It worked fine when I browsed the intranet, but when I try surfing any websites outside of the intranet, google, or Firefox's default homepage for example, I cant connect and just get timed out. If I try using Internet Explorer, theres no problem with the connection. How should I configure (or whatever) the Firefox Portable app for it to work?

Many thanks!

Proxy

You probably need to set your proxy server to browse the Net from your company's network.

Download this app and run it. It'll tell you if you need to set one. If you do then just copy the details into FirefoxPortable and you're away.

Take a look at your

Take a look at your connection settings in properties under Internet Explorer to see if there's any custom settings you may need to export to FireFox.
