I wish to save the Firefox start page of the 4.0 beta 12 portable version, a Google search page containing the Firefox logo, but in the navigation tab there appears only "about:home" instead of the usual URL address. When I entered "about:home" in version 3.6, it made no sense. Please could someone advise how the about:home can be translated into a URL that can be inserted in the usual navigation tab in another browser.
Firefox: http://google.com/firefox
Linux: http://google.com/linux
BSD: http://google.com/bsd
Previously known as kAlug.
I entered the URL "http://google.com/firefox" in the address bar, but when it finally loaded, the address was changed to "http://www.google.co.th/firefox", a localised page specific to the country where the address was entered, and page appearances were not similar to the starting page of Firefox 4.0 beta 12, and text was displayed in the Thai language.
The Firefox 4.0 betas actually have the start page embedded in the app itself, so the only way to actually find the html file is to dig through Firefox itself.
But there’s no sense crying over every mistake,
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
