Run skype on a company laptop (anti-virus blocking skype - I think!)

Hello all,

I got this laptop from work and I need to keep in touch with my folks at home - we always used skype.

The only computer I will have for the next couple of months is the one form work which has a antivirus/policies that don't permit me to instlla/run skype.

I've tried to make a stick with skype on a different computer with skype on it, but when I plug it in and start it I just get an error (I think it is the antivirus who does that ...)

Is there any way to make it work ? - did somebody come across similar problems?

Thanks!

Regards
Andy

??

Would help to know what the error said?

Hm

Looks tricky.
If the policy prevents you from running Skype, there's not much you can do I fear.

if the restrictions go through Novell...

right-click on the Novell icon in the task bar and hit "log out"

that's how I kill restrictions at school

if not Novell A) try something similar with the task bar B) use the task manager to kill the program
