I just installed Firefox 4 RC 1 Portable, but Java is no longer available. It's installed locally on my machine, and java applets run fine in Google Chrome Portable and Firefox portable 3.6.15. On the about:plugins page, the Java plugin is no longer listed, while it shows this for 3.6.15:
Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U19
File: npjp2.dll
Version: 6.0.190.4
Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_19 for Mozilla browsers
Any idea?
Update your Java Version to u24 should help![Wink](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/wink.gif)
The whole point for me to use FireFox portable is to be able to use FireFox on a PC where I cannot update java...
You need to find a current copy of npjp2.dll and put it where FirefoxPortable can see it.
This would be in your \FirefoxPortable\Data\profile\plugins directory.
You can find a lot of info about the plugins (might have to "translate" directory structures to be applicable to a portable installation) at:
