website translations: is it planned?

Hello.

I see topics of people willing to translate the website:
- Spanish: https://portableapps.com/node/24192
- Russian: https://portableapps.com/node/25552
But these topics are ... unanswered.

So I ask: Is it planned? Or are we encouraged to do so on external website? Or, nothing of all this?

Yup

We're finishing up an upgrade to Drupal 7, our content management system for the site and forums, before finalizing it to reduce duplication of effort. Drupal 6 doesn't handle it as well. We've had some issues with the upgrade due to instability of some backend stuff but are hopeful to resolve it this month. At that point, we'll be starting in with full translations into lots of different languages.

Upgrade Issues

We had some issues with the last two upgrade attempts (it died 1/2 way through and required a restore from backup). I'm doing a test upgrade of a backup of the site from Tuesday to ensure our new process works. If it does, we'll be upgrading the site this weekend or next and then finally be able to do localization of the site.
