Image database

Hi, I'm looking for a software to manage image files by keywords (with filter options etc). Portable would be great, but I'm open to suggestions that would allow me to use the image database on multiple devices (by syncing it).

Thanks!

I just downloaded

Picture Dictionary From SourceForge, it claims to do what is asked by you. Last updated in 2008 but will look at it and see if usable or workable. May not be till later tonight or tomorrow though.

Nope this is definitely what you are asking for, I guess descriptions can be deceiving

Kphotoalbum..

Kphotoalbum is a Linux based organizer that was said to be able to be compiled under Windows. http://www.kphotoalbum.org/ It is an outstanding organizer, but since the developers do not support Windows it has gotten no recognition in the Windows world. I have 40,000 images cataloged and it runs very fast. Unfortunately, I use Windows more than Linux, so I don't update it often. If programmer could evaluate porting it to Windows, it could be a real winner.

Picasa

Not yet portable but there are plenty of requests for it.

Picasa is an image viewer/editor/cataloguer.

I believe you could do metadata searches with it.
