Single exe files

Could you make portable apps that are a single exe file instead of a folder with required files in it? I'm having problems when programs are using other folders.

No!

All PortableApps.com programs have to conform to a specific format for a variety of very good reasons.

Perhaps you could explain the specific problems you're having then it nay be possible to give some more constructive suggestions/help.

I think he already got the answer for his specific problem

I think he already got the answer for his specific problem Here, and since he didn't like the answer decided to ask an apparently more generic question so as to try and get what he wants anyway.

However, the answer is still

MJAshby   No!   . . .   for a variety of very good reasons.

About your EXE to MSI

About your EXE to MSI converter, why can't you just convert FirefoxPortable.exe and run it in its folder?

Because msi files don't use the proper folder that they're in.

If you could show me how, that would be great.
Try running the msi and it will act as if it's the exe in an empty folder.
Other than that, there is not a bit of loss of the exe file during the conversion.
Just make the exe files bring up explorer if the required files aren't where they're supposed to be.

MSI files are Windows installer files not program executable binary files.
