OpenOffice needs updated

Can someone update OpenOffice 3.2 I had to replace system files of OpenOffice Portable with the new version of OpenOffice 3.3 to update it. It works fine, but I still think you should update your OpenOffice.

I don't use LibreOffice because it is too slow, and has to many bugs. Possibly when they develop it better I will switch over, but for now, please update OpenOffice.

Illegal

It is illegal to repackage OpenOffice.org for portable use without permission from Oracle's trademark folks. They have given no such permission to anyone. Any portable versions you find are done illegally and should not be trusted.

LibreOffice is based on the current OpenOffice.org release with additional features and created by most of the old OpenOffice.org team outside of Oracle. The two are compatible with each other. You should use LibreOffice for portable use.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks

Thank you for this helpful information. I was kinda wondering why it wasn't being updated.

That article is horribly

That article is horribly misleading in parts due to indiscriminate use of "OpenOffice" and "Open Office" (which will be confused with Oracle's "Oracle Open Office" - a project which has now been killed) - and never using the correct name "OpenOffice.org". (LibreOffice it also calls Libre Office two of the four times it's mentioned.) The message may be good, but the article is very poorly written in not using the correct names (which due to Oracle can be misleading).

Another interesting, if differently slanted, article
