i-doIT - configuration management database

First off, Thank you guys for making this a great platform and offering excellent tools.

I am a Systems Analyst for a County Government Center and am in need of a system document tool. I have tried SYDI and it's a great tool, but in all honesty it produces too much paper.

Program: i-doIT

License: AGPLv3

Description: i-doIT is a CMDB (configuration management database) based on ITIL guidelines. It documents IT systems and their changes, defines emergency plans, displays vital information, and helps to ensure a stable and efficient operation of IT networks. i-doiT allows a rich amount of technical information to be filed for each element from a wall outlet to a mainframe in a structured way. Every employee can access this information easily (and in a selective way) through a Web browser. Due to its modular architecture, it is possible to deploy functionality add-ons or even develop extensions

Implementation: PHP

What magic if any can you do for this application?

Portability

I don't think this is one for PortableApps development, but have you looked at the possibility of running the app 'locally' using a portable server such as XAMPP - https://portableapps.com/apps/development/xampp

According to the i-doIT site:

"For Windows and for Linux there are 2 Source-Downloads. For this you need an existing environment with an installed Apache, mySQL and php5 (AMP). To install i-doit you just need to copy the un-packed data into a directory in your web server. Then you just have to access that directory to start the easy-to-use setup of i-doit."

I'm sure there's someone around who could give an opinion on whether it is feasible to run the software with XAMPP or similar portable web server software (there are a few alternatives), but you could also try asking on the i-doIT Forum.
