Firefox 5 Beta 1 has not been officially released yet. As of now, the download for the Beta channel is still "Comming Soon".

Existing on an FTP directory doesn't mean an actual release. It may just be a beta 1 release candidate. We should know shortly.

Mozilla is simply testing the "new development channel switcher"
In a DevNews post they said "Please note that this release is NOT the final beta of the next version of Firefox. This build is a copy of aurora re-packaged as beta for testing."
Thus I have my doubts that this will even get packaged for Portability, however it's John T Haller (in cooperation with Mozilla) who decides what versions of any Mozilla app get Portablised.

As it is an Aurora build, it's essentially nightly build/pre-alpha quality, which means there's not much reason to spend time on it portability-wise. We'll make it available when it's a beta. As you said, this is just a 'channel test'. It's not a beta release by any definition.

but modify the source code of the original firefox portable is Aurora portable? just replace the old icons for the new icons... I have this version of aurora portable with this modify
