Portable XAMPP Lite is AWESOME!

I have this stupid little 119MB USB stick drive. I installed Portable XAMPP Lite and MediaWiki on it and I only have 3MB left but the cool thing is that IT WORKS!! I now have a mobile server-side programming learning lab on a stick - all thanks to this site! YOU GUYS ROCK!!

Yeah, you can edit pages,

Yeah, you can edit pages, create accounts, everything. Only I haven't figured out how to get it to let users upload images onto the USB drive. (I haven't needed to, but that would be interesting to see if it can be done)

It would be possible

since all web apps work portably (DQM).
It is set in LocalSettings.php
To find it, try searching through DefaultSettings.php

The question has changed

The question has changed apparently, to: "Is it complicated to get MediaWiki running?"

Well, you could say that installing *any* web app is complicated. But installing MediaWiki isn't *more* complicated than installing other web apps I don't think. See http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Installation
