Last minute request for the menu

Can we have a further option in right-click whereby it shows the file location of the portable application please?

Thank you

Hover

When you use the latest beta (Version 2. beta 5) and you hover over an app entry in the menu, it displays the path to the folder where the app is located.

Ok but how about using

Ok but how about using Explorer or one of the portable apps to open the folder as well, or is it impossible to implement without using the Registry?

In any case can the registry be used on a temporary basis or is this against the PA ethos?

I dont know

I think it is possible without using the registry.
After all, using the registry is avoided around here as much as possible.

I hope so because if

I hope so because if implemented would make it more as a "tool" rather than a simple launcher but I know over the time it has included many kinds of commands like the disk checker which is an awesome thing for quick analysis but of course when you get used to such coolness you tend to want more.

Coming:

This feature has been requested before, and John T. Haller replied "explore this folder is coming as a right-click to app icons", so I'm guessing that it'll be in 2.0 (it shouldn't be too difficult to implement, and it's simple enough that it shouldn't need much internal testing) but we'll see, John hasn't promised it in a 2.0 specific fashion yet, so all we currently know is that its planned for some future release.

Implemented

It's already implemented in the build that will become 2.0. The translations for it were done as part of the two rounds of updates. It looks like this.

Sweet:

Now we have a guarantee.
Plus the new right-click menu looks great, good work John.

Can't wait for 2.0 Wink

P.S. Did/will you move/copy the "Show Hidden Icons" menu item into the Options (or Manage Apps) menu? (so-as to fix the current lack of restoring hidden apps when all are hidden)
