I have developed an integrated OpenOffice Portable Base .odb file in version 3.20. The database has a number of related tables and several macros. When the database works, it is a great tool. However, I have become extremely frustrated with the number of times that the file has crashed and been unrecoverable. I have been advised that it would be more stable to create separate program and data files but the instructions for doing this on various forums is extremely complex and confusing. Is there a reasonably simple way to create a LibreOffice Portable database with a separate data file? I would like to place the files on an external hard drive so that it can easily be used on another computer.
