OpenOffice files broken in LibreOffice

I've got a file using indentation and tabs, created with OpenOffice Portable 3.2.0, the latest portable version currently available. The layout is fine in OpenOffice. When I open that file in LibreOffice Portable 3.3.2, the layout is broken.

Is this a general problem in LibreOffice, or is it an issue of the portable version?

I created a small file that demonstrates this problem. The file is self-explaining. Unfortunately, I did not find a way to upload it. So, if someone wants to take a look at it, just send me a message, and I will mail it.

portable vs local

It would be nice if you could try it with the local version.
If the problem is with the local version, you'd have to ask the folks at http://www.documentfoundation.org/ for a fix. If its a problem with the portable version, we'd have to have a closer look.

odt or doc

What is the file type?

LibreOffice can save in:

  • odt
  • sxw
  • doc
  • rtf
  • Word docx
  • XML docx
  • pdf

Try first saving as a different file type in OpenOfficePortable, then see what happens in LibreOfficePortable.

You can also

ask over here:
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/index.php

And that forum has the facility to upload small files.
