Maybe this has already been covered but I just went to Wireshark's web page and downloaded their Portable Apps version. It comes in Portable Apps format. Even the file name is WiresharkPortable-1.4.6.paf.exe.
I noticed that Wireshark portable does not exist under applications on this site. Wonder what the disconnect is or if I'm missing something.
Is it because of the Pcap install?

It's not quite in PortableApps.com Format, which is why it isn't listed. I have an open bug with them about it. They want to be able to generate the launcher and installer themselves, but they only have NSIS ANSI in their system, which we dropped quite a while ago. So, they can't produce a proper PA.c Launcher or PA.c Installer at the moment.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thank you.
I see that the bug hasn't had any comments to it since 2011-01-10. Is there any movement on the part of Wireshark to fix the issues outstanding?
If not, since Wireshark is released under GPL2, could we not take their package, update it, and release it? Possibly push it back to them for release on their site?
