Extracted 2.2.12 into my PortableApps Folder and then copied the launcher into PortablbeApps
gimp2.2 not found, please check your configuration.
Shouldn't this work right out of the box as it says on the application web page?

Sure you don't have a GIMPPortable.ini file somewhere? Did you extract it to the default directory structure or use an unzipper that supports directories? Do you still have the old PortableGIMP files laying about?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Only one GIMPPortable.ini and that's located in
g:\PortableApps\GIMPPortable\App\DefaultData\seetings and it is
[Language]
LANG=
Ran your exe to extract it to
g:\PortableApps\GIMPPortable
No old files left on drive

Found the sample .ini file, changed it as follows, placed it in the
GimpPortable folder.
[GIMPPortable]
GIMPDirectory=\GimpPortable\App\gimp
GTKDirectory=\GimpPortable\App\gtk
SettingsDirectory=\GimpPortable\App\DefaultData\settings
GIMPExecutable=gimp-2.2.exe
AdditionalParameters=
WaitForGIMP=false
Now the loader in PortableApps works fine.
