well, normally you are right, and you should not care about service-quality from developers.
However, this is security-sensible, and I did not find an alternaty for a portable virus scanner, so I take it a little more rigid, it should work.
the server is still down, hopefully this will be repaired soon.

well, the ip is pingable but no http-service for clamav.net available,
neither from traceroute, nor from clam-program nor from browsers.
As said, hopefully this can be repaired soon.

Could be a problem with your connection.

I'm not having any issues here either.
Again, as Chris said, other than providing a portable version of ClamWin, we don't have anything to do with ClamAV.
