hi need some help i'm a bit gutted.. followed instructions to install portable app suite and the installation stopped and wouldn't install now my new 16gb usb pen won't open, isn't recognised and won't format anyone got any suggestions pls??

That should not happen. I installed it over a dozen times and nothing comparable happened. Maybe your usb drive or your USB connector is faulty. Can you try to connect it to another connector or computer to eliminate the latter?
this happened the last time i tried on another usb so i just sent it back, this usb is a pretec 16gb brand new, when i connect to another computer it reads 0 bytes and i can't format

This indicates a hardware problem. Installing the PA.c Suite can't do anything hardware-wise to a drive as all it does is copy files onto it. It's either a bad drive just in terms of manufacturing (which does happen) or a hacked drive of a smaller variety pretending to be larger than it is to Windows which causes problems (which is more likely with ebay, craigslist and similar purchases).
