im running Windows 7 SP1 x64, no problems.

I tried making a portable app. that stored settings in AppData>Roaming but couldn't figure out the template.
This version provides more insight as it contains Launcher.ini, which make more sense to me.
how come John's version does not have Launcher.ini?
The current uTorrent launcher predates the PortableApps.com Launcher and uses a custom replace routine specifically for uTorrent that handles its FileGuard additions in its binary file. This meant it required a custom replace routine. These may or may not still be used in the current version of uTorrent. This dev test is to determine whether or not it is for a larger number of users to see if uTorrent Portable can be converted to PAL (easier to maintain, etc).
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I was thinking on extracting the FileGuard code and using PAL's own
FileWriteNto do the find/replace. The resulting custom code is available at https://pzt.me/74o8.Also, I'd like, if possible, a brief tutorial on saving/restoring variables.
