[ website ] RSS updated long after the news is posted on first page

Hello there,

Not sure if it is just my sage++ issue or a general one (I tested the ffx built-in rss reader too and it's the same case) but isn't the all idea of RSS newsfeed to get the news when it's updated and not so late afterwards? (last rss update was on June 10th.)

Is it a platform issue or just the lack of time for the website admin(s)?

I apologize if this was already answered.

Cheers and keep up the good work.

Feed?

Which feed are you checking? Are you sure there have been new items since then? The feeds are automatically generated.

The one which is discovered both by sage++ and the firefox built-in rss reader - button (actually the only feed I saw until now - the nice RSS button shown on first page / right side under "All news".

I am totally sure there are news - a lot of releases already in the news section but the RSS last notice is pidgin 2.8.0 Friday, June 10, 2011 6:51 AM

So either is a drupal setting / issue or... dammit, it's a firefox cache issue after all (happened to other sites too), I just used CTRL+F5 for refresh with no cache and all new things did appear, including in the rss newsreader.

I did not have problems with the cache (it was an old IE horror) until some version upgrade (using 4.x atm) and I could not find a solution yet.

Would be nice a nochache statement for RSS. Smile

Cheers.

Signature automatically removed for containing links. Really? I mean... really? Smile

Cache On Your End

I see you found the issue on your end. It is updated. It's set to cache for only 15 mins as that is how often we update it. No cache is bad because some people check RSS feeds insanely often.
