Web Site - addon to your account ???

I have seen on another site where the users have a "like" or "Track my Favorite App"
to where you can be notified of updates by logging in. I think this would aid in updating apps above and beyond using the program updates that I really like a lot in v2. And or in this also list new apps released on the applications list.

The reason I am looking for this is I have multiple flash drives loaded with different portable apps and I try and download the updates then install them on the flash drives I have to save on bandwidth with my wireless internet connection. It costs me more money to update each flash using the updater them just downloading the installs and updating each flash drive separately.

Or

Have a RSS feed or list in the [Manage Apps > Check for updates] also have a [> Check site for new apps] on the site. The apps that download the installers not be deleted but accessible to save for other flash drive to be updated or be able to point to a location to retrieve the updates saved locally to save on bandwidth.

This would help a lot for those that are still on dial-up, Satellite [HughesNet Satellite Broadband , or WildBlue], and/or on Wireless Hotspot(s) where the bandwidth amounts are pay per meg.

Thanks for all your work on this site and the programmers that are helping users be portable with their great time saving programs.

There is already an RSS feed

There is already an RSS feed that lists all app releases/updates. It hasn't been integrated into the updater in anyway, but all you would need to do is run Feed Notifier Portable at platform startup.

There has also been talk of a future background setting that would stop packages from being deleted after install, thus building an app cache of sorts, but I don't quite remember whether this was a feature request, a future plan, or somewhere in between.
