Roboform2Go Stole drive name Need Help

I am stumped thanks to fiddling with an app I should never have touched. I installed
RoboForm2Go decided I hated it and deleted what I thought was everything. Was I
wrong!!! It stole my drive name though there is nothing of it visible on the root directory.

This drive was all set with the new Pstart autorun and I want it back. The drive now says RoboForm2Go(L:) and all the items loaded still come up as well as pstart autorun
I want to go back to the Pstart icon and whatever it said on the drive name. Will I
have to re-install Pstart to get it back.

I know I should have backed up and I have learned my lesson.
Thanks for any help you can give.

No problem!

As far as the drive name, just goto "My Computer", right click the drive, & select "Rename". Name it whatever you want. Wink

If the Pstart icon is not showing, open up "Autorun.inf" (double click) & replace contents with:

[Autorun]
Open=PStart.exe
Action=Open PStart
Icon=PStart.exe,0

Hope this helps!

RE: Stolen Drive Name

I tried renaming to just plain old L:\ and it would not let me do that. I also
tried Removable Drive (L:) and would not allow that either. The icon that has
appeared is a windows looking one and it would have to go to.

As I said everything on the drive works perfectly as is but the name of the drive
is a disaster. I went into control panel/admn tools/ and brought the name of the
drive as is up and it says it is healthy. How when everything was deleted I can't figure. Why the rename function won't work is a mystery to me.

Hmm...

Ok, right click on the drive & select "Properties". Change the name there. (Remember, don't worry about the drive letter.)

RE: Stolen Drive Name

[AutoRun]
open=PortableRoboForm.exe
action=Launch RoboForm2Go
shell\RoboForm2Go=Launch RoboForm2Go
shell\RoboForm2Go\command=PortableRoboForm.exe
icon=PortableRoboForm.exe
label=RoboForm2Go

This is what appeared in the autorun from notepad. I deleted it and put in what you
said even noting the icon but nothing happens. I'm fearful that somehow I have lost
some of the PStart app even though the autorun file looked the same as before. It's
like it hijacked the file. LOL

I use GoodSync on this drive and I have the job set up for L: so I don't want to lose that ability either. What should I name the drive when I right click?

Success At Last

PStart has a Create Autorun on the panel under settings. I clicked on that and it changed the autorun language a bit and put back the Pstart icon. With another click
or two I got it to take Removable Drive (L:)

I'm back in business. Thanks so much for your help. The new version that I have
of PStart has the tools; I just haven't learned them all yet.

Drive Letter

The drive letter is already designated. When you rename the flash drive you only change the name. (do not make it "Flash_Drive L:\", that won't work. In this case it would just be "Flash_Drive".)

Glad to hear it! I've been waiting to check out the latest version of Pstart when John releases the new (*and improved!*) app suite. Wink
