I have the following question that perhaps someone could answer:
I would like to transfer my modified toolbars to a newer version of Portable OpenOffice. So where do I find these settings in my existing installation?

Data\settings
It should be data settings. There's a user directory in there that contains all your personal settings. You can transfer that. In older versions, this was in PortableOpenOffice\settings. In the pre-release of 2.0.3 it's in OpenOfficePortable\Data\settings.
