I need windows live mail to rebound some of the emails I setup on my thunderbird.
I want to use some of my email in windows live mail.
I did a search and it looks like everyone is pointing to thunderbird. Although it is great, the familiar outlook/word style editor is a lot user friendly.
Hope someone will work on windows live mail.
will not allow it to be done

Thanks for the info
search before you post next time please
If you read my comment before you post you should have seen that I mentioned I did make a search and most of the topic was suggesting to use Thunderbird and not mentioning license.
And also, the result is dated back last 2008 and 2009. During the time when freeware is not yet supported. Now freeware is supported and it is worth the chance to ask it another time.
I guess it is much easier to read the topic before commenting that doing a search before posting.
Anyway, thanks for the advice. Rest assured I am doing that.
The topic comes up every 6 months or so, and it has been thoroughly answered in the past.
Also, I don't believe that Windows Live Mail is technically freeware, since it is an add-on to windows which I believe requires you to have a full Windows Licence, hence making it licensed as a part of that software, not a separate app in its own right. (You need to run a genuine advantage check to download it, or used to, which makes it a windows component).
if you had read what you searched you would have found out why it would never happen which would have saved you the time and effort in making this post.
the reason that people point to thunderbird is its an email client that works for a variaty of email host like yahoo, hotmail, windows live, gmail and ISP as well as others. Windows Live Mail is as the guy who responded before me mentioned is heavely related to the OS. you have to have windows Genuine Authinticity for you to download it and that requirement in itself makes it not possible. that too has been mentioned before.
Why can't someone create an online installer that downloads the files from microsoft and creates a portable version? That's exactly what their installer does, which extracts the msi files to the temp folder afaik. Although they may have a license that says that you can't download the files in that fashion.
If someone got creative enough they could include a sikuli script. What this does is it will download or launch the normal windows live installer, take a screenshot and "ocr" it and find and click the next button in the wizard, basically simulating what a normal user would do, including clicking "verify with WGA" and whatnot. Then the portableapps installer would catch all the files it downloads and installs.

I think you are confusing few things together.
This here is not any kind of warez, hacker or similar site dealing with some illegal activities.
Also any promotion of illegal activities is not allowed here.
So any ideas and advises how to hack this and that are not really welcome here.
Then: the windows components can only be downloaded and installed on valid license windows. Microsoft does test all that during the installation, this is not only abt downloading something.
The genuine advantage test is not only about clicking on something, but this will carry out remote search on your computer and make sure that the copy of windows you are using is legal.
