I keep getting a message:
Another instance of Foxit Reader Portable is starting. Please wait for it to start before launching it again.
I just installed the latest release. How do I clean this up, please?

Check Task Manager first and be sure foxit.exe and FoxitReaderPortable.exe aren't running. If they are, kill foxit.exe. Then, right-click Foxit Reader Portable in the PA.c Platform menu and select Explore Here and then browse into the Data directory. There should be a file with the word launcher in it ending in INI. Delete that. Then try and start it.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I couldn't find an "Explore Here" in the platform menu entry for Foxit Portable, but my portable copy of Total Commander worked just fine. Deleted the init file and it came right back up.
Thank you for the help.
Do you have a file called PortableApps.comLauncherRuntimeData-FoxitReaderPortable inside the FoxitReaderPortable/Data folder?
If yes, you should delete it and retry.
