If you are referring to using your bold as a portable drive to run portable apps from then yes I believe you can.
Under Options, Memory, Mass Storage Mode Support. Set it to Yes to enable the device as a hard drive. Also available there is Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected. You can set it to Yes, No, or Prompt.
You could be right, however since the OP has not replied to let us know, any answer could be correct. And there is also the possibility that someone else will have a similar question about the bold and this thread will answer their question.
The more information the better IMO. Even if it may not answer the initial question, other people can benefit from all answers given.

PortableApps will only run on computers with Windows 2000 and up. Some only work only work on XP+ though.
