To my knowledge , Avast Anti-Virus is the best anti-virus . I am a STANDARD USER on my laptop and I am using Portable Apps to get the software I want.

in the case of antivirus, this is rather a question of personal preferences then any objective value assessment.
But avast is a commercial product, thought they have free version too.
So they would have to give permission first.
But antivirus software is portable useful only as on demand scanner, it can not be operated portably for any real time functions.
So such software would have to be modified in a way that all things which can not be portable are left out, this would give a completely new version of avast.
This could be done by the avast themselves, but doubt by anyone else.

I'm also an Avast user and on Avast site you can find a portable version of the program. Unfortunately it is a payed version only.
The only way to use Avast and Portable apps is to pay for the software.
