When I go to the add-on page (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/) it does not display correctly. Blue underlined links on the left side of an all white background.

This is not an issue with Firefox Portable, but rather with Firefox. If you continue to experience this issue, you should try Mozilla's own forums for support.
Reloading the page (also try force reload with Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R) will probably fix it.
