VLC: Playing Movie DVD

VLC: Playing Movie DVD

I thought portable VLC would play DVDs without needing codes. Can it and if so how?

DVDs

Click OpenFiles
Click Disc tab
click DVD (menus)
Device name should be your DVD drive
Click OK

It will take 15=20 seconds for movie menu to come up
click play and it will start
right click to get to options like full screen etc.

That's it exactly. worked

That's it exactly. worked just great on my HP laptop. Used cheap ($10 US for 3 DVD's) disks that would not play right at home. Played OK on the laptop. Convinced now that I need a better player at home.
