1. download portable chrome from:
https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/google_chrome_portable
2. mount a network drive for example to z:\ drive.
3.install the portable chrome to mount drive.
4.run portable chrome and try to go to some link.
for example www.google.com => say internet not working.
5. copy the same directory to local HD.
6.go to some link. for example www.google.com =>
chrome work as normal.
at mounted/network directory chrome say that the internet dose not
working.
can you fix the bug?
thank you Tal.
Google Chrome ties into Windows more than any other browser (actually uses Windows components for SSL, password encryption, etc) and figures out that it's running from a network drive and then screws itself up. It's a known bug within Chrome itself (not in Chrome Portable). And it will likely never be fixed as they have no interest in running from network drives.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
thank you about yours answer.
