How do I search Forum Topics by date?

I have been trying to find a method to search the forum by the date topics were posted. Is there some advanced search option I have overlooked?

Nope

At least by now, you can't do that. But you can use Google for the time being.

Previously known as kAlug.

Nope

Drupal 6 doesn't have the ability to search things by date. You can search by words to include, phrases to include, words not to include and post type (forum, page, etc) but not date.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thats a Shame

I wish there was a way to filter by date without using a google plugin.

I mainly like to search for the 5 most recent posts on certain topics, Usually anything within the last 6 months.

Thanks for trying to help anyway

Just suggestion

I know there are a thousand other things to work on besides the functionality of the forum

But I frequent alot of forums. And XDA developers has a feature when you search for something it its own forum it searches google and then takes the search results and redirects you to a page with a XDA design and shows you the filtered results only selecting the ones housed on its own forum.Include a date option in that query and the problem would be solved.

But then again I know nothing of drupal and whether or not it can accept custom scripts like greasemonkey or can be used with custom plugins
