  • Quick Access - Speed dial your favorite sites with Quick Access. Drag and drop to customize on the fly.
  • Magic fill - Set and manage all of your website usernames and passwords on one screen, securely. Maxton 3 will enter them for you when you visit.

I installed the Maxthon update to the latest version, and every time I run it I get an error saying another copy of Maxthon is trying to close, even though I am trying to run this on a computer that does not have Maxthon on it.

aka Major PITA... ask me what it means, as you will be amused...

You need to reset it. Browse to the MaxthonPortable\Data directory and you'll see a LauncherRuntime*.ini or something similar in that directory (not the files in Data\settings, a file directly in Data). Just remove that file.

This will happen if your computer crashes, your drive is pulled without being safely ejected or if you use a 3rd party eject utility that force-closes apps (which has the same effect on apps as the first two scenarios).

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
