Running Toucan Portable resulted in threat messages from Immunet (Free) virus program
. The program detected the files as the following:
- W32.Unpacked (four times on first sync)
- W32.SHEATH.COHORS.OCT.C0C99D
Does anyone know why this is happening and how it affects sync?
A previous post is related though its focus was on file recovery
am not sure why this would flag toucan.tmp as dangerous, it is simply a temporary copy of the file that is being synced, it helps protect against unexpected shutdowns / drive pulls from corrupting files. Given that it is just a copy of an existing file I am not sure why it could be being flagged.
If a temporary copy of a file is getting flagged as dangerous, then wouldn't that mean that the program thinks that the file it's a temporary copy of is dangerous? It's probably not Toucan that's at fault, it's either the program doing the flagging (false positive), or it's a threat in the file that Toucan is syncing; right?

that is exactly what I would suspect, perhaps try doing a full scan to see if anything is flagged up?
