Can anyone confirm that VLC Portable no longer works with Youtube videos? All I now get is an error:
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://www.youtube.com/watch?...etc..'. Check the log for details.
BTW, where is the log for VLC Portable stored?

I've done a Google search and it seems that Youtube have changed something. Some posts suggest changing the youtube.lua file - tried that with no luck. Others are suggesting we may need to update to a later build (VLC 1.1.12 or 1.1.1-15-gebd7e0c have been suggested) to correct it?
Any chance we could have a later version John?

1.1.11 is currently the official stable version available from videolan, as such, this is the version we have available as well. Until videolan releases 1.1.12 or higher as their stable version, we will not be releasing it here.
I have just updated to the latest version on this site (v 2.01) and it will not play *.flv, *.mp4 or *.rmvb. I have not tried with any other file formats as I only have the ones listed above. I also have KM player portable, PotPlayer portable and VLC version 1.1.11 portable - they all will play these files. My system is Win XP Pro SP2.
