Notepad++ 5.9 is not saving it's settings

Notepad++ 5.9 is not saving it's settings

I'm using 5.9 version on Windows 7. The problem is Notepad++ fails to remember settings (style and opened sessions) sporadically.

Not editing the configs manually.

Possible fix - please test

1 Go to X:\Notepad++Portable\App\Notepad++

Secret is your drive

2 Select all files and folders

3 Uncheck read only check mark, apply to sub-folders when prompted.

4 Test

Reason: Notepad++Portable may not be saving the config on the files copied to this folder. Which is yet to prove BTW.

EDIT 1: Nope that didn't work. Sad
