Have videos that are VLC type that run beautifully on my PC, but when moved to my Portable environment on the USB drive, the file type automatically changes to Windows Media Player, and "Open with" does not offer VlC as an option.
I'd need them to stay VLC and also show "Openwith" VLC. Pls advise what I need for a remedy. thanks GusN6603

This doesn't sound like it's at all related to portable apps. Portable apps are not meant to be associated with file types. If you let them do that, that will make it not portable.
