I had this problem as well. I was quite surprised, it's the first time anything from this site has acted up. Well, aside from false positives that can be blamed on second- or third-rate antivirus solutions, of course.

It's so funny because I always thought the personal picture feature was tacky. Now, if you could replace the whole header, and you had some mad Photoshop skills, I think you could do something really nice. What's 48x48 anyway? Nonetheless, I plugged some keywords into a custom Google image search and found a Fallout "Vault-boy" PNG I liked that I thought would look nice up there. I figured, it's the big 10.0 release, I'll throw a little picture up there to celebrate. Then everything went to crap. Once I got rid of the personal picture, quit the menu (and force closed it via Task Manager), and started it up, it's been fine. Still, I know this feature used to work as I've done it before, I just don't know how long ago.

Same thing..

Had the same thing happen to me.. I thought it had something to do with the HIPS module of ESS5 but it would seem that after allowing 3-4 ( I think ) file access and write privileges temporarily it still seems to have the problem... however it still works.

If there is no picture, and you go to add one. The menu will give and error and crash. triggering WerFault.exe ( Windows 7 Ultimate ). When I start the menu again, the picture is there. If I try to change it the same thing occurs but it will come up with no image.. and then I can add one in the same manner as noted before.. but always with the crashes.. ( instant error problem and sometimes a crash when right-clicking )

There seems to be something randomly happening in the menu.. crashes where there were none and then suddenly it will work fine.. Have noticed this in several areas... and sometimes completely random... for no reason or when simply calling the menu from the TaskBar..

@NathanJ79 - Takes more than Photoshop skills. Blum Try ResHacker or a Resource hacker....AND Photoshop.. with good resources.. LOL.. Hopefully though these accommodations will be present in the future version officially supporting themes..

it is inside the X://PortableApps/ folder. close the Platform and delete it.

Bad, bad bug

This issue has affected me on both W7 HomePremium and XP. It's a terrible bug. I was scared my flashdrive was broken.
