You shouldn't include your email in that format as it makes it easy for spambots to target your email.
And I'd be happy to take a look at the app, if you'd like. (see my email below)
Could you please provide more details? What is it that you're wanting? What are you trying to achieve?

I have an interesting application for a portable app that is different from any of the apps listed here and for a different market.
Where are you located?
Thanks for the note about exposing my email address to bots

So is this a FOSS app or a commercial program? Why the need to be in Boston area? I am in Maine but not sure with today's ability to work via computer why the geographical restrictions?

It is a commercial program
Agree that distance is not a hard problem just that it is easier and faster to be close.

I see a need to provide a flash drive app for very non sophisticated users of public computers.
Everything I see on the market today is directed at knowledgeable users.
So it is a matter o packaging a few key applications and data for use by novices, while leaving with little or no footprint on the host computer.
Don Hutchinson
It sounds like you are wanting to create a new platform rather than an app, which is something we don't assist with.
On the other hand, if you have suggestions on improving the PortableApps.com Platform to make it easier for novice users. Or an introduction app within it. We have numerous commercial partnership options available by contacting the business development folks.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Unless I am mistaken it should be a matter of creating a a specialized app (within your platform) that would bring in and support apps such as a browser, gmail, Skype, address book. Coupled with a very simplified setup by the user. A useful inclusion would be the means to later download sand install upgrades.
My market is a user with zero skills in computer usage, who typically will not own or use a computer.
Don Hutchinson
Pretty sure we're already doing exactly that.

You are absolutely correct.
But all of the portable apps (that I have seen) presume
some level of knowledge from the user
My market is for people who not only have no knowledge, have no computer of their own, and are often terrified of the whole process.
Think what you need to have your grandmother use a public computer with zero help.
They need everything possible done for them to make their life simple and uncomplicated

people like those you're describing try to avoid a computer at all costs. They do not know how to use the mouse, the keyboard or anything (I assume this is what you meant when you said "no knowledge" about computers).
My mom is just like that. She is "terrified" as well, and litterally has no idea how to turn on a computer and the only way she knows how to turn it off is by unplugging it. I tried to teach her once how to use it, but she was very reluctant to try to learn, and quit in minutes.
In short, it's extremely difficult to give a market who knows nothing about computers any software they'd feel comfortable using. Not to mention, the fact that they've made it thus far in there lives without a computer makes them think that they won't ever need to use a computer and further discourages them from trying.
Just my two "sense".
How would they know how to even create an email account?

I agree that some oldsters are terrified and that is the challenge
- and the opportunity.
I have founded and run several software companies. I am also 82
I have taught several classes or seniors. So I know what is needed.
Yes some seniors are terrified. So would you be if you were stranded on an island where everyone spoke a different language
It should not be rocket science to create a very simple undemanding interface to a few basic apps.
So is there someone out there who might like to work on this venture? If so please contact me and I can provide details - off line for privacy reasons
