Power failure caused Original Background Image to disappear.

I Don't have a UPS system. So, when there was a glitch on the local power grid Everything that was running suddenly stopped.

Unlike, for others that were blacked out for hours, my power was out for a few seconds. When my computer came back on, for a moment I thought everything was o.k. Then I noticed that the background image wasn't there. I thought, well, of course, its gone. Went WHEN PortableApps went with the system crash. So I brought portableApps back to life from my thumb drive. My chosen background image... it there. Great. But, ... Wait a minute. Couldn't figured out what the problem was, So I killed portableApps And saw the problem, The computer's background image, the one replaced by PortableApps with the one I selected, was gone. Except for the Program Icons, the screen was black. Good thing this happened on my own machine and not a borrowed one. I'm not a PortableApps programmer so I turn it over to you.

Thank you.

Crashes

As with any application, some data is lost in a complete PC crash. As these are very rare occurrences, it isn't a huge issue, but it is an issue that will be addressed in later releases.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

are there saved themes on your pc ...

'cause when that happens for me, in win7 I would go back to Personalize and click on the theme that was on before the crash/force shutdown. I forget what it was called, but I did something similiar in Vista and XP.

Don't be an uberPr∅. They are stinky.
