[Fixed] PhotoFiltre Portable leaves registry entries if run with admin rights

Hello,

if PhotoFiltre Portable is run with administrator rights (mainly happens for users who have UAC disabled), it creates the following registry keys:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pfi
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pfs
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pfv
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfi
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfi\DefaultIcon
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfi\Shell
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfi\Shell\Open
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfi\Shell\Open\Command
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfs
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfs\DefaultIcon
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfs\Shell
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfs\Shell\Open
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfs\Shell\Open\Command
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfv
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfv\DefaultIcon
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfv\Shell
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfv\Shell\Open
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\PhotoFiltre.Pfv\Shell\Open\Command

I conducted the test with PhotoFiltre Portable 7.0 under 64-bit Windows 7 SP1.

Please fix this bug.

some registry keys also under Windows XP SP3

I also detect some of the above described registry keys under Windows XP SP3. But I want examine this problem in more datail on another clean PC. If I can confirm this failure, then I fix it and offer you a revised version. In this version is also a language problem fixed (please look at my post here).

no saving in the folder Data\settings

But in this case the appropriate *.reg files won't be saved in the folder Data\settings. But it could be, that the app saves some important settings in these *.reg files.

File associations

They're file associations. They're not important.

Aha

Thank you for this tip. Therefore I can conclude, that a registry key in the form of "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\.abc" is related to a file association.

Please can you give me also an answer to my question regarding renaming with NSIS (please look in my post here)?
