I use 9.0.1 successfully
But when I go to install 10.0.1
- and I have downloaded it three times
to be sure there was no download error.
- it always says it has to close
as soon as I try to open it.
I have done this when not running Firefox and when running it.
Don't know what to do.

Does the installer say it has to close or the Firefox launcher?
Clear your internet cache and redownload. Sometimes files are cached locally and you dont actually redownload it, you're just copying the bad copy 3 times from your local internet cache.
