PA.Com search app bug

Hello all,

PA.com has this great feature where I can find apps by simply starting to type a part of the name.

But I keep bumping into a strange bug.

Always, the first character I type changes into a graphical character, in stead of the letter I typed. PA will then not find anything I am looking for.

If I press a character, a backspace, and then the letters to search, it will find what I am looking for.

Anyone here who experiences the same issue, or perhaps even have a solution for this ?

I use PA.com Platform 10.0.1, set to the Duthc language. Switching to English did not help.

I have seen this...

I have seen this as well. The first character typed is not the key that I press, it appears to be a unicode character. It is not happening on this machine, however I saw it a couple of times yesterday on another machine. I will have to test it at some point...

It also appears to be a known issue:

Search first character can become a symbol

Yes, it's a known issue for

Yes, it's a known issue for the current version. As workaround you could use the forward slash (/) to open the search box at first. It's no real help if you use a keyboard layout that requires two keystrokes for that (german layout uses shift+7 for that f.i.). Just the same as anykey+backspace. Wink
