I have downloaded the latest version of LibreOffice Portable and run the installer on my Win XP system. (This is my first time trying LibreOffice in Windows.) I am able to open and run the individual modules, but I cannot access the on-line help files directly from the "Help" menu. When I try to do so, I receive an error message saying that LibreOffice cannot find the target URL.
This is not the end of the world, since I know where the on-line help site is, and I can open a browser and go there. However, this is not as convenient as using the "Help" menu to connect there.
Is this a known issue for some people? I tried searching the forum, but it's painful searching on a term like "help." If this has been asked and answered, please show a link to the thread and forgive my failure to find it.
I can access LibreOffice Portable 3.5.0's online help without any problems, both from the menu (Help - LibreOffice Help) and from any of the dialogs ("Help" button).
F1 works as well.
My system is Win XP, too.

Thanks for the feedback. It's good to know that it does ordinarily work OK. I have no luck with either the Help menu or using F1.
Maybe it has something to do with the way XP is set up, or with the browser set up. Right now, IE is set up as the default browser. I'll try switching over to Firefox as the default.
for the help a copy of the appropriate Help-files from a full installation of LO to the portable-version had helped.
someone might give it a try with the installer-version of thge help-files, from the download-page at www.libreoffice.org,
but I made me a copy from
