I just upgraded from v2.0.0.22 to v10.0.2 (I know, a big jump 
After the upgrade I added a gmail account to Thunderbird.
My problem: the gmail account isn't listed in the account list so I have no control over it.
And, while I'm here, how do I delete an account? I have several old, no longer used accounts I'd like to get rid of.

with add account in account settings, you can add new account and the it is included and then you have control over it, you have to click on Ok on every change otherwise it may not be stored.
in the same place, again under account settings, account actions, you have remove . you select the account and remove it and it is gone.
