Running Portable Apps from a CD

Has any one run Portable Apps from a CD Rom? I have an old laptop that I need to scan using Clamwin and there is no network port or USB driver installed and my client can not modify the laptop but needs to make sure it is clean. It does have a CD that works properly/

You need more than a portable AV to do what you want. Use a bootable CD to scan the hard drive like UBCD4Win.com's CD.
