W7 x64 ult., seems to be same deal here using the autoupdater. No problems d/l latest from the page and installing ("manually"), thou.
when I tried to update through PAc updater this AM. It wants to move it to chest but then keeps endlessly repeating the virus found cycle! I'll be reporting it to Avast & to TV support so hopefully, between you & them, it'll be fixed soon...
I run Avast and had no problems with TeamViewer updating. Make sure your definitions are up to date.

After reporting it to Avast, I talked with TV support, who had already contacted Avast directly regarding their false positive. Avast then released another def update that fixed it by mid-dayish. The problem was both induced & corrected same-day.
