My computer is using Traditional Chinese Windows 2000 Professional SP4. According to Windows Task Manager, I found that Portable Firefox 1.5.0.7 occupies 36,760K memory with just one tab of Firefox Start Page. If I add one more tab to www.yahoo.com, it increases to 42,260K. After I closed all the tabs, it even occupies 45,428K. A few hours later, it doesnt release any memory. The same thing happen for my installation verions of Firefox. However, I open 2 separate IE and visit the same URL with total 12,404K. It will release memory down to 5,000K by time. Is it normal?
Anything with session-saving slows FFP down (and I think increases memory). Also, do you have the cache on or off?
One last thing, if you are using Portable Firefox, please upgrade to Firefox Portable.

Thanks for both "rmccue" and "tittoproject". I only have time to try FFP without extension(Mine is PFF 1.5.0.3). It seems better. But when I have time, I will follow the information and post the result here.
